Purpose
This CDS view is designed to represent the hierarchical structure of sales organizations within a company. It provides a detailed view of the nodes within the sales organization hierarchy, including their relationships, validity periods, and associated metadata. The view is essential for understanding the organizational structure and for analytical purposes related to sales data. This CDS view provides the data to answer the following business questions: What is the hierarchical structure of the sales organizations within the company? How are different sales organization nodes related to each other in terms of parent-child relationships? What are the validity periods for each node within the sales organization hierarchy? What is the sequence and level of each node within the hierarchy? How can we access additional descriptive text and metadata for each sales organization node? How can we ensure that the hierarchy is up-to-date and reflects the current organizational structure? To help you decide which CDS view to use for your purposes, SAP has introduced the annotation ObjectModel.supportedCapabilities that indicates the most appropriate use cases for each CDS view.
