Purpose

This CDS view provides the data to answer the following business questions: What are the different general ledger account hierarchies currently defined in the system? What is the validity period for each general ledger account hierarchy? What type of hierarchy is each general ledger account associated with? Who last changed the general ledger account hierarchy data, and when was it changed? How can I access the text descriptions associated with each general ledger account hierarchy for better context and understanding? To help you decide which CDS view to use for your purposes, SAP has introduced the annotation ObjectModel.supportedCapabilities that indicates the most appropriate use cases for each CDS view.
