Purpose
This CDS view is designed to extract detailed information about subitems within a Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) Bill of Materials (BOM). It facilitates the integration and analysis of BOM subitem data, enabling businesses to manage and track changes in BOM structures effectively. This CDS view provides the data to answer the following business questions: This CDS view provides the data to answer the following business questions: What are the specific subitems associated with each Bill of Material within a project? How can we track changes in the BOM subitems over time, including internal change counts? What are the quantities and units of measure for each BOM subitem? Where are the installation points for each BOM subitem within the project? What descriptive text is associated with each BOM subitem? To help you decide which CDS view to use for your purposes, SAP has introduced the annotation ObjectModel.supportedCapabilities that indicates the most appropriate use cases for each CDS view. To find out what use cases are best supported by this CDS view, access the entry of the CDS view in the View Browser app and find the values for this annotation under the Annotation tab. Authorizations Users who want to use this CDS view must have a role with the following restriction types set to read access: C_STUE_BER - CS BOM Authorizations These restriction types are edited in the Maintain Business Roles app.
