Purpose
This CDS view is designed to facilitate the extraction of data related to Bill of Material (BOM) subitems. It provides a structured representation of BOM subitem details, enabling efficient data retrieval and integration for various analytical and operational purposes. This CDS view provides the data to answer the following business questions: This CDS view provides the data to answer the following business questions: What are the specific subitems associated with a given Bill of Material? How can the quantity and unit of measure for each BOM subitem be determined? What are the installation points and descriptive texts for BOM subitems? How can changes in BOM subitems be tracked through internal change counts? What is the relationship between BOM subitems and their parent items in terms of category and node number? To help you decide which CDS view to use for your purposes, SAP has introduced the annotation ObjectModel.supportedCapabilities that indicates the most appropriate use cases for each CDS view. To find out what use cases are best supported by this CDS view, access the entry of the CDS view in the View Browser app and find the values for this annotation under the Annotation tab. Prerequisites
Authorizations Users who want to use this CDS view must have a role with the following restriction types set to read access: C_STUE_BER - CS BOM Authorizations These restriction types are edited in the Maintain Business Roles app. Users who want to use this CDS view must have the following authorization objects assigned: technical name of authorizationobjects> ( human-readablename>)
