Purpose
This CDS view provides access to business partner telephone number information that is independent of specific address assignments. It contains comprehensive phone number data including international formats, extensions, validity periods, and various phone number attributes such as SMS capability and default phone number indicators. This CDS view provides the data to answer the following business questions: What are all the telephone numbers maintained for address-independent communication? Which telephone numbers are marked as default? What is the validity period for each telephone number in the system? Which telephone numbers are SMS-enabled for communication purposes? What are the international telephone number formats for business partner contacts? Which telephone numbers have been marked as "do not use"? What extensions are associated with specific telephone numbers? What is the country/region destination for each telephone number? Which telephone numbers are currently valid based on their validity start and end dates? To help you decide which CDS view to use for your purposes, SAP has introduced the annotation ObjectModel.supportedCapabilities that indicates the most appropriate use cases for each CDS view. Important Fields Important fields in this view include the following: Field Name Description PHONENUMBER Unique numerical identifier that is associated with a telephone device for calling purposes. PHONENUMBEREXTENSION Extension number INTERNATIONALPHONENUMBER Combination of country code and the telephone number DESTINATIONLOCATIONCOUNTRY Country where the telephone number is located. ISDEFAULTPHONENUMBER Identifies the default telephone number PHONEISSMSENABLED Identifies if contacting the telephone number via SMS is enabled or not. VALIDITYSTARTDATETIME Time on a specific date from when the telephone number is valid in the system. VALIDITYENDDATETIME Time on a specific date until when the telephone number is valid in the system. ADDRESSCOMMUNICATIONREMARKTEXT Additional information about the mobile phone number VALIDITYSTARTDATE Date from when the telephone number is valid in the system. VALIDITYENDDATE Date until when the telephone number is valid in the system. ORDINALNUMBER The number which identifies a specific telephone number, if there are more than one telephone numbers.
