Purpose
This CDS view provides information about settings for Costing Versions in Product Cost Planning. This CDS view provides the data to answer, for example, the following business question: Is a special Exchange Rate Type used in Product Cost Planning? To help you decide which CDS view to use for your purposes, SAP has introduced the annotation ObjectModel.supportedCapabilities that indicates the most appropriate use cases for each CDS view. To find out what use cases are best supported by this CDS view, access the entry of the CDS view in the View Browser app and find the values for this annotation under the Annotation tab. For more information, see Supported Capabilities for CDS Views .

Further Important Fields Important fields in I_CostingVersion include the following: Field Name Description Comment CostingVersion Costing version in product costing Can be used to differentiate between product cost estimates. CostingType Costing type Can be used to further differentiate settings for costing versions. ValuationVariant Valuation variant Can be used to further differentiate settings for costing versions. ExchangeRateType Exchange rate type for currency translation If you do not use costing versions, the exchange rate type is determined by the valuation variant specified in the costing variant. If you use costing versions, you can specify that a different exchange rate type should have priority.
