Purpose
This CDS view is designed to represent a hierarchical structure of company codes within an organization. It provides a parent-child hierarchy of company codes, allowing users to understand the relationships and structure of company codes in a hierarchical format. This view is particularly useful for analytical purposes, enabling users to analyze data based on the hierarchical organization of company codes. This CDS view provides the data to answer the following business questions: What is the hierarchical structure of company codes within the organization? How are company codes related to each other in terms of parent-child relationships? What are the validity periods for each node in the company code hierarchy? How can I retrieve text descriptions and additional details for each company code hierarchy node? How can I identify the sequence and level of each node within the company code hierarchy? What are the node types and values associated with each hierarchy node? To help you decide which CDS view to use for your purposes, SAP has introduced the annotation ObjectModel.supportedCapabilities that indicates the most appropriate use cases for each CDS view.
