Purpose
This CDS view provides access to the fixed set of breakdown category fields in group reporting. For example, the field SUBIT for subitem, which is part of the breakdown categories 1000 (transaction type) and 2000 (functional area). A breakdown category can have one or many fields. Each field can belong to several breakdown categories. This CDS view provides the data to answer the following business questions: Which fields exist in group reporting? To which breakdown categories does a field belong? Which fields belong to a certain breakdown category? What is the breakdown type? What is the (optional) name of the selection rule? To help you decide which CDS view to use for your purposes, SAP has introduced the annotation ObjectModel.supportedCapabilities that indicates the most appropriate use cases for each CDS view. To find out what use cases are best supported by this CDS view, access the entry of the CDS view in the View Browser app and find the values for this annotation under the Annotation tab.
