Purpose
This CDS view provides access to the master data of a main asset of a fixed asset. The attributes of the main asset business entity include the company code and asset. This CDS view provides the prerequisites for answering the following business question: What are my main assets? What are the descriptions of the main asset? To help you decide which CDS view to use for your purposes, SAP has introduced the annotation ObjectModel.supportedCapabilities that indicates the most appropriate use cases for each CDS view. To find out what use cases are best supported by this CDS view, access the entry of the CDS view in the View Browser app and find the values for this annotation under the Annotation tab. For more information, see Supported Capabilities for CDS Views .

Prerequisites
Authorizations Users who want to run reports using this CDS view must have a role based on the business role template listed in the table above. In this role, the following restriction types must be set to read access: Asset Class / Company Code Company Code / Plant Company Code / Cost Center These restriction types are edited in the Maintain Business Roles app. Users who want to use this CDS view must have the following authorization objects assigned: SAP_BR_AA_ACCOUNTANT (Asset Accountant)
