Description
This CDS view provides supported values for MaintOrderProcessingContext.

The values and their meanings are:

Value

Meaning

Standard Order

E

Emergency Order

B

Billable Order

A maintenance order runs through an end-to-end maintenance process. The processing context determines how this end-to-end process is designed. The default processing context of a maintenance order is Standard Order. In this processing context, the order type determines the processing phases that the maintenance order runs through. If the maintenance order is assigned to a different processing context, the end-to-end process can be designed differently:

Maintenance orders with the processing context E (Emergency Order) allow you to plan and execute urgent repair work in the phase-based maintenance process.

Maintenance orders with the processing context B (Billable Order) provide capabilities to bill the cost of maintenance activities to a customer. They are used within the Service with Advanced Execution process that is available in SAP S/4HANA Service. Note that billable orders are only supported in SAP GUI.

To help you decide which CDS view to use for your purposes, SAP has introduced the annotation ObjectModel.supportedCapabilities that indicates the most appropriate use cases for each CDS view. To find out what use cases are best supported by this CDS view, access the entry of the CDS view in the View Browser app and find the values for this annotation under the Annotation tab. For more information, see Supported Capabilities for CDS Views.
