This CDS view is designed to represent the hierarchy of functional areas within an organization. It provides a structured view of the relationships between different nodes in the hierarchy, including parent-child relationships, node sequences, and validity dates. The view is essential for analyzing and managing the organizational structure related to functional areas. This CDS view provides the data to answer the following business questions: What is the hierarchical structure of functional areas within the organization? How are different functional area nodes related in terms of parent-child relationships? What are the validity periods for each node in the functional area hierarchy? How can I access additional textual descriptions and details for specific hierarchy nodes? How can I identify the sequence and level of each node within the functional area hierarchy? What are the node types and values associated with each hierarchy node? To help you decide which CDS view to use for your purposes, SAP has introduced the annotation ObjectModel.supportedCapabilities that indicates the most appropriate use cases for each CDS view. To find out what use cases are best supported by this CDS view, access the entry of the CDS view in the View Browser app and find the values for this annotation under the Annotation tab. For more information, see Supported Capabilities for CDS Views .
