Purpose
This CDS view provides detailed information about sub-items within a Bill of Material (BOM). It joins data from the BOM sub-items table with the BOM items table to present a comprehensive view of sub-item details, including quantities, installation points, and descriptive texts. This CDS view provides the data to answer the following business questions: This CDS view provides the data to answer the following business questions: What are the sub-items associated with each Bill of Material item? What is the quantity of each sub-item within a Bill of Material? What are the installation points for sub-items in a Bill of Material? What descriptive text is available for each sub-item in a Bill of Material? How can sub-items be categorized and identified within the overall Bill of Material structure? To help you decide which CDS view to use for your purposes, SAP has introduced the annotation ObjectModel.supportedCapabilities that indicates the most appropriate use cases for each CDS view. To find out what use cases are best supported by this CDS view, access the entry of the CDS view in the View Browser app and find the values for this annotation under the Annotation tab. Authorizations Users who want to use this CDS view must have a role with the following restriction types set to read access: C_STUE_BER - CS BOM Authorizations These restriction types are edited in the Maintain Business Roles app.
